There is nothing as valuable to an organization as a high-level, integrated strategic plan that serves as the roadmap for the future. Scott’s strategic plans (and the discussions around strategic decisions) is why companies all over the world ask him to lead their strategic planning teams. 

Many strategic plans often skip the strategy aspect and advance from a SWOT analysis to goal setting that is summarized in a one-page infographic. These plans are often too generic, rarely successfully implemented and often limit the abilities of the organization to move forward. What many organizations need is a comprehensive, integrated strategic plan that identifies a clearly defined vision of the future while remaining agile in the marketplace. 

Scott’s strategic plan template alone is 47 pages and includes a vision of the future (that is realistic and based upon customer wants and needs and industry data), an extensive competitor analysis, industry data (from a $1,500 industry report, when available), pricing strategies, the selection of 2-5 grand strategies that will guide all decisions, risk assessment and contingency plans, etc.    

In the end, a plan is developed that is behavior-based.
